Adding chapter markers
According to the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), an essential aspect of making web video content accessible involves structuring content so that “The user can navigate by semantic structure such as by chapters or scenes” (source). Adding chapter markers to uploaded video makes it navigable in the way the W3C describes.

Adding subtitles or closed captioning
According to the W3C, captions and subtitles “provide content to people who are Deaf and hard of hearing. Captions are a text version of the speech and non-speech audio information needed to understand the content. They are synchronized with the audio and usually shown in a media player when users turn them on” (source).

Adding audio description
According to the W3C, audio description “provides content to people who are blind and others who cannot see the video adequately. It describes visual information needed to understand the content, including text displayed in the video” (source).
Please note that an audio description track will be played along with the video’s original audio. Viewers cannot turn off the audio description. We therefore recommend that you upload two videos: one with the audio description and one without.

Customized for this use only: Selecting this option means that the changes you make to the accessibility information will only be applied to the specific instance of the file you are currently editing.
Switch to accessibility information used everywhere this file is used: Selecting this option means that the changes will be applied universally to all instances of the file across Digication.
