Permissions required: Administrator
- Outcomes can be defined at multiple levels: system-wide, course, assignment, and/or submission.
- Each outcome belongs to an outcome collection.
- Outcomes can have one or more rubrics associated with them.
- Administrators can work with outcomes in the following ways:
- Create - Administrators can create both course-level outcomes and institutional/program-level outcomes.
- Search - Administrators can search for outcomes from any source either course based or institutional/program-level.
- Import - They can import course-based outcomes as well as institutional/program-level outcomes.
- View - They can access and view any of the outcomes.
- Edit - They can edit any outcome whether course-based or institutional/program-based.
- Delete - They can delete any outcome.
Create Outcome
- Click “Outcome & Rubrics” (1).
- Select “Outcome Collections” (2).
- Select an outcome collection (3).
NOTES:
If there are no outcome collections in the list, you have to create one using “Add” (4) or you can “Import from Digication Library” (see below for more info).
- Click “Add” (5).
- Enter an outcome name (6), outcome number (optional) (7), and description (optional) (8).
- Click “Save” (9).
Search Outcomes
- In “Outcomes,” enter an outcome name or keywords (1).
- Matching outcomes will be listed (2)
Import Outcomes
- Click “Outcome & Rubrics” (1).
- Click “Outcome Collections” (2).
- Click “Import from Digication Library” (3).
- Select one or more outcome collections to import (4).
- Click “Import” (5).
- The outcome collection (6), outcomes (7), and associated rubrics will be imported into the system.
View Outcomes
- You can view outcomes through “Outcomes” and “Outcome Collections”.
View through “Outcomes”
- Click “Outcome & Rubrics” (1).
- Click “Outcomes” (2).
- You can search for the outcome by name or keyword (3).
- Locate the outcome in the list (4).
- You can set an outcome as active or inactive (5).
- Expand (6) to view additional outcome information (7).
View through “Outcome Collections”
- Click “Outcome & Rubrics” (8).
- Click “Outcome Collections” (9).
- You can search for the outcome collection by name or keyword (10).
- Click an outcome collection (11).
- You can search for an outcome by name or keyword (12).
- Locate the outcome in the list (13).
- You can set an outcome as active or inactive (14).
- Expand (15) to view additional outcome information (16).
Edit Outcomes
- Click “Edit” in the outcome list (17) or with the outcome expanded (18).
- Edit the outcome name, number, or description (19) and click “Save” (20).
Delete Outcome
- Click “Delete” in the outcome list (21) or “Remove” in the expanded outcome (22).
WARNING
Deleting an outcome erases all associated assessment data.
- Confirm the deletion (23).
