Updates to Google Embed Options November 22, 2023

Dear Digication Community,

We're eager to announce some changes to the Google embed options which will be released on November 22, 2023.

In order to resolve a bug with Google Drive embeds while incorporating feedback from our users, we've decided to retire the Google Drive embed option and replace it with separate options for embedding Google Docs, Google Sheets and Google Slides. The Library interface will be updated as follows:

The most-popular option, Google Docs, will replace the Google Drive icon and be prominently displayed under "More ways to add content" when users add content to their ePortfolios. The additional options for Google Sheets and Google Slides will be available with the other Embed options on the Embed tab of the Library when adding content. 

For all three options, we have added step-by-step instructions within the interface to assist users with embedding their Google content.

Our apologies for not providing our usual two weeks’ notice before user interface changes! As the end of many institutions' Fall semester is swiftly approaching, we felt it would be best for our community to release this update immediately.
