Kora transition overview: Accessing shared student Work

Version: Kora Courses, August 27, 2024 or later

Permissions required: Faculty

  • Faculty members who prefer students to share and publish live ePortfolios, rather than submitting versions of their work to assignments, can manage shared work easily in the Kora Course Dashboard.
  • All shared and published Work will be listed under the Course dashboard, providing a simplified way for faculty members to easily view all shared work in one place. 

  • If no courses, communities, custom course types, or assessment groups are set up, create one (1).

  • Add students and faculty members (2).
  • Click "Create New Assignment" or "Import Assignments" (3) to create a new assignment or import an existing one.

  • Associate the assignment with a template by selecting "Use template" (4).

  • Set a due date by selecting the "Due on..." option (5) and picking the desired due date (6).

For more information about creating assignments, please see "Create, edit, or delete assignments.

  • Once created, assignments appear in the dashboard (7) for you and your students. Students will be able to create and add work (8).

  • From the Share Settings (9), guide your students to share and publish their work with the faculty and students, group or course (10).

  • Once shared, the work is listed under the section "Work Shared in the Course/Community/Group" on both the student and faculty Course dashboard (11)

NOTE: The section "Work Shared in the Course/Community/Group" does not include any templates shared within the course.
