Templates are an important part of the Digication user experience for many faculty and students. With the Template Notifications tool, a template creator can opt to send email notifications to any users with whom they are sharing the template. Additionally, users who decide to send the email notifications will now have control over their content.
When you first choose to add an ePortfolio as a template, you will arrive at the Template Settings screen. If you do not need to make any changes to the title or URL, select Continue
Click Edit (1), to the right of Also Share With Specific People, Groups, or Courses.
Type the name of the course or individual(s) with whom you would like to share the template into the resulting search field (2) and select it from the search results.
If you would like to send email notifications to those with whom you are sharing the template, click the toggle for Notify your shared list by email (3).
This will open up a customizable template for the email notification that individuals on your shared list will receive. Digication provides a default message for the email, but clicking within the gray text box (4) will allow you to alter the message, or delete it and write your own. When you are satisfied with the message, click continue (5). Once you have completed the next section and have saved your template settings, the email notifications will be sent.
