How does Digication work with SAML/ADFS?

Digication supports Single Sign On authentication using SAML/ADFS. For schools that are interested in using ADFS, we will need the following information:

• Your entity ID
• Your sign-on URL and logout URL

We will also need to know the following attributes from ADFS. We will need your exact attribute names:

• otherid (also known as sync ID or account ID. This should be a unique variable for each user that will not change.)
• username
• firstname
• lastname
• email
• groups (For this attribute, we are looking for the field or group that contains the faculty designation for a user)
• faculty (For this attribute, we are looking for the name of the faculty designation - it's typically "faculty")

Once we have this information from you, we will provide you with our metadata URL. Then, we will configure this integration in a sandbox environment, so we can fully test the functionality. After we have completed testing, we will schedule a time to move the SSO to your production environment.
