RESOLVED: Digication errors December 9, 2019

Dear Digication Community

UPDATE: the problems with slow loading of files and media and difficulty uploading image files is now resolved.  For this incident, the issues involved slow loading of files and difficulties uploading image files. An increase in errors began at 3:51pm and ended at 6:56pm Eastern time. Users experienced slower than normal loading of files and media on their ePortfolio pages and difficulty loading image files. Uploading other file types such as documents, powerpoint presentations, videos and audio files uploaded without error during this time. No files needed to be reloaded or replaced on resolution of this issue.

We use various technical conversion packages to handle and support the uploading and display of a wide array of media and files. Some features involve variables beyond Digication’s control and while we cannot completely prevent errors from ever occurring, Digication works with 3rd party vendors to help ensure a high level of stability while handling and displaying content from many different sources.
