RESOLVED: Digication ePortfolio Embed Issues May 15, 2020

Dear Digication Community,

RESOLVED: As of May 18th at 2:26pm Eastern this situation is considered fully-resolved. We thank you for your patience during this time!

UPDATE: On May 16th at 4:11pm Eastern time a fix was implemented for the issues below. Previously embedded materials are displaying in ePortfolios and new embeds are successfully being created. We continue to monitor the results and will update with additional details as they are received. 

May 15th, 2020 - at approximately 3:40am Eastern time, most embeds in our ePortfolio pages were not being displayed properly. Creation of new embeds were also resulting in errors. We have been working with our service provider to correct these issues.

Networking failures in our cloud infrastructure are severely degrading our ability to provide embedding functionalities. Affected embeds appear with a red banner across the module and an error message that reads "Please check the URL you entered is correct". 

While the existing embedded data is not being displaying properly, there is no data loss in the system. Once we have fixed the networking issue, all existing embeds will work again.  

 All other features at Digication are functioning normally.

We're very sorry for the difficulty and frustration for our community at this busy time of year and hope that the errors for embeds will be resolved quickly.

We will update this post with more information about the cause, duration and resolution of this issue as it becomes available!!
