Provide assessment feedback

Permissions required: Reviewers

As a program reviewer, you can access assigned programs, review submissions, and complete outcome-based assessments. If program settings allow, you can also add additional outcomes.

If enabled, program reviewers can also view detailed assignment information, including availability dates, grading settings, and assessment details.

Access program 

If you have been added to a program as a reviewer, the program will appear on your dashboard under the section named My Programs (1) and the My Programs icon (2) will appear on your global navigation.

Click on a program (3) to enter the program workspace, where you can begin reviewing assigned submissions.

Review submissions

  • Click Review Submissions (1) from the program Home page to begin the assessment process. 
  • The number of assessments completed and not started (2) is also displayed on your Home page.

  • The Assessment page (3) for the first submission you have been assigned opens.
  • A submission information banner (4) is displayed which contains the date and time of the submission.

  • Click the Submission List (5) of the assessment page to view a list of all assigned submissions.
  • Navigate through multiple submissions (6) to add your reviews for different people.
  • The submission list displays each student's submission ID, first name, last name, current assessment status (7) (e.g., Not started), etc. 

NOTE: When the “Anonymize submissions from reviewers” setting is enabled, student names are hidden.

  • Use Search (8) to quickly find a specific submission.

View submission history

  • Click on the submission timestamp (1) to view the submission history (2). You will see a list of previous submission versions with their respective timestamps. Click on a specific timestamp to view that submission.

View assignment information

  • Click the info icon (1) to view assignment information (2), including availabilities, grades, and assessment details.
  • Click Close (3) to collapse the panel.

Start and submit assessment 

  • Click Outcomes (1) to begin your assessment.

  • The Outcome Assessment panel (2) opens. If outcomes have already been added, you will see them here.
  • Click on an outcome (3) to begin assessment.
  • If you are allowed to add and create new outcomes, you will see the Add Outcome icon. To add new or additional outcomes: In the panel, click Add Outcome (4) to select or create the new outcomes you want to assess.

Adding new or custom Outcomes

  • If you are adding new outcomes, from the list of available outcomes, click to select the outcomes (5) to use to assess the submission.
  • Once you've made your selections, click Done (6) to proceed.

Assess Outcomes

  • Click on an outcome (7) to open the rubric for assessment.

  • Enter a score (8) manually for a row or leave a row-level comment (9). Scores are automatically saved.
  • Click on a column header (10) to access options to apply that score to all rows of an outcome, all rows of multiple outcomes, or all unassessed rows.
  • After assessing the outcome, click Submit (11) to complete your assessment.

Note: You must click Submit to complete your assessments and comments.

  • Once submitted successfully, you will see a message that says “Assessment saved!” (12).

Navigating submissions

  • Open a new submission from the submission list (13) or click the arrow in the carousel (14) to go directly to the next person’s submissions.  Repeat this process until you’ve reviewed them all.

Complete assessments

  • Review your assessments or close the assessment window to return to the program Home page.

Note: You must click Submit to complete your assessments.
