Digication Accessibility Update - November 18th, 2025

As a leading provider of ePortfolio and Assessment solutions, we consider it our utmost responsibility to ensure that no users are excluded. Accessibility is essential to our mission, and we are committed to delivering a product that all members of our community can use with confidence and independence.

We recognize that accessibility is not a one-time achievement but an ongoing process of evaluation, feedback, and continuous improvement. A key part of this effort is clearly documenting and communicating the accessibility measures we take, so that our community understands the standards we follow and the progress we make toward full inclusivity.

To support this commitment, we maintain a Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT), which provides a detailed record of how our product aligns with modern accessibility requirements.Today, we are pleased to announce the publication of an updated VPAT reflecting our upgrade from WCAG 2.1 AA to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA.

Digication Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT) Nov 2025

Importantly, all success criteria included in WCAG 2.1 AA continue to be fully supported. Our upgrade to WCAG 2.2 AA builds upon this foundation by incorporating additional success criteria that further enhance usability for all learners.

We would also like to highlight that we no longer support Classic courses and moving forward, we will maintain only one version of the VPAT.

WCAG 2.2 includes several new success criteria designed to improve support for keyboard users, users with mobility limitations, and users who experience cognitive or attention-related challenges. As part of this update, we have evaluated and incorporated the following new WCAG 2.2 Level A and AA additions:

New WCAG 2.2 Level A Criteria

  • 2.4.11 Focus Not Obscured (Minimum) – Ensures keyboard focus indicators remain visible even when UI elements overlap.

  • 2.5.7 Dragging Movements – Requires an alternative to dragging actions, supporting users who cannot perform continuous pointer gestures.

  • 3.3.7 Redundant Entry – Reduces cognitive load by preventing users from having to re-enter information already provided.

  • 3.3.8 Accessible Authentication (Enhanced) – Ensures authentication does not rely on memory-based, puzzle-like, or cognitive tests.

New WCAG 2.2 Level AA Criteria

  • 2.4.12 Focus Not Obscured (Enhanced) – Strengthens the requirement so focus indicators are fully visible.

  • 2.5.8 Target Size (Minimum) – Ensures interactive elements are large enough for users with limited precision.
