This guide walks through completing an assignment that uses Digication's AI reflection assistant: starting a conversation, pausing and coming back, and submitting when you are done.
Open your assignment
From your dashboard, go to My Assignments & Activities. You will see all the assignments your instructor has given you. Open the one you want to work on.
You will see the assignment instructions your instructor set up. When you are ready, click Start to open the conversation.
Have a conversation
The assistant opens with a question based on the assignment your instructor designed. Type your first response. It does not need to be perfect. Just write what comes to mind. The assistant will ask follow-up questions based on what you say.
The assistant is not working from a fixed script. It picks up on what you actually said and asks something specific to it. That is what makes this different from filling out a form: it is a back-and-forth conversation.
The assistant helps you reflect. Each question builds on what came before.
Pause and come back
When you need to stop, click I'm done for now. You do not have to finish in one sitting.
The assignment stays right where you left it. When you come back, it picks up where you left off.
Reopen the assignment and your full conversation is there. Add more when you are ready.
Submit your work
When you are done, click Submit. That sends your completed conversation to your instructor as your assignment submission.
After you submit, the conversation stays visible. Your instructor can review the full exchange: not just a final answer, but the thinking you did to get there.
