Dear Digication Administrators,
During the week of September 1, 2026, we will complete the retirement of Digication Classic ePortfolios. Classic ePortfolios will no longer be available for viewing or editing in the Classic format. Anyone with administrator rights on a Classic ePortfolio can still upgrade that ePortfolio to the current version of Digication.
This change is happening in conjunction with the retirement of the Classic administration area, which we announced for the week of September 1, 2026.
This is the final step in our transition away from Classic Digication, as we have previously communicated:
- October 2016. Announcing New Digication introduced the ePortfolio platform that replaced Classic.
- August 2018. New Digication Upgrade for All Schools September 1, 2018 and the system-wide upgrade reminder confirmed that new ePortfolios would no longer be created in Classic and that no further development would happen there.
- September 2018. Welcome to New Digication moved every organization to New Digication as the enabled and enforced version.
- January 2025. Important Development Update: Classic ePortfolios and Courses set the phase-out date, including a one-time extension that moved it to January 1, 2026, and explained how to export or upgrade Classic content before that date.
What you will see when you access a Classic ePortfolio
If you are an administrator of the Classic ePortfolio. Opening its web address takes you to an upgrade page, where you can move the content into the current version of Digication.
If you are not an administrator of the Classic ePortfolio, or you are not signed in. You will see a notice that the ePortfolio is no longer available, with no upgrade option, because only administrators of an ePortfolio can upgrade it. Visitors who follow an older link to a Classic ePortfolio, including links still listed in search engine results, will see the same notice.
Administrators can find a list of every Classic ePortfolio in their system in the administration area, under Works, with a link to each one.
