Open “Select outcomes”
- While creating an assignment or managing outcomes at a course level, open “Select outcomes.”
- You might see outcomes from the current course (1), system-wide outcome collections (2), or other courses (3).
Add or edit outcomes
Add outcome
- Click an outcome to add (4).
- If you click on an outcome from another course (5), it has to be copied first (6).
- Make any desired changes to the outcome, then click “Save” (7).
- The copied outcome will appear in the current course, and it will be added to the current assignment (8).
Edit outcome
- Outcomes in the current course (1) can be edited by clicking “Outcome info icon " (2), then “Edit” (3).
- Edit the outcome as desired, then click “Save” (4).
- System-wide outcomes or outcomes in other courses (5) must be copied before they can be edited.
- Click “Outcome info icon " (6), then “Make copy” (7).
- Make any desired changes to the outcome, then click “Save” (8).
- The copied outcome will appear in the current course and be added to the current assignment (9).
Create outcome
- You can create new outcomes in your course.
- Enter the outcome name (1).
- Click “Create” (2).
- The new outcome will be added to the course and current assignment (3).
- Click “Done” (4).
NOTES:
- Course-level outcomes can be created by course faculty members and system administrators
- New course-level outcomes exist strictly in the context of the course. They do not interfere with outcomes at the program level or with outcomes in other courses.
- System-wide outcomes can be added or edited only by administrators in the administration interface.
