Our Integrations team can assist you with adding the Digication LTI for Kora integration to your LMS. Read more about “LMS Integration for Kora (LTI 1.3) - Setup for Admins”.
Digication will provide the unique LTI application information needed to create your Digication integration in your LMS. If you need to obtain this information, contact Digication Support at support@digication.com
Once you have the LTI application information, follow the steps below to configure the integration in your Blackboard Learn environment.
Step 1: Register the Digication LTI 1.3 tool
-
Log in to Blackboard as an administrator. From your dashboard, go to Admin (1).
-
Select LTI Tool Providers (2).
-
Click “Register LTI 1.3/Advantage Tool (3)”.
-
Enter the Client ID (4) provided by Digication and click Submit (5).
Step 2: Create Placements
- Locate the Digication tool (1) that you just created on the LTI Tool Providers list and click the dropdown arrow.
-
Select “Manage Placements” (2).
You will create two placements for Digication: Course Content Tool and Deep Linking Content Tool. (If you are using custom parameters, you may need to create a Course Content Tool placement as well.)
Course Tool
- The course tool will allow you to place a Digication link in your Content area in an Ultra view course. This connects students directly to the Digication course that is connected to your Blackboard course.
-
To create this placement, choose the following options:
-
- You can choose your own Label (1) and Handle (2).
- Choose “Course Tool” (3) under Type.
- Check “Allow student access” (4) under Type.
- Check “Launch in New Window” (5).
- Under Tool Provider Information (6), enter https://lti.digication.com for the Target Link URI (7).
-
Deep Linking Content Tool
-
The Deep Linking content tool will allow you to create direct links to specific Digication assignments. To create this placement, choose the following options:
-
- You can choose your own Label (1) and Handle (2). We recommend “Digication Assignment Link” (3) as the label.
- Choose “Deep Linking content Tool” (4) under Type.
- Check “Allows student access” (5) under Type.
- Check “Launch in New Window” (6).
- Under Tool Provider Information (7), enter https://lti.digication.com for the Target Link URI (8).
-
Once you’ve created these placements, please contact support@digication.com so we can work with you to complete the integration.
Step 3: Test and Confirm Field Mapping
The Digication integrations team will assist you with testing your integration and reviewing and confirming what fields will be mapped in the LTI for Kora integration. We will add and test the course navigation link, as well as the creation of an assessment in your Content area. Please have a course available for testing when you meet with Digication.
Schedule a meeting with our integrations team to complete your LTI for Kora integration.
