Digication Development Update 5/19/19

Dear Digication Community,

We hope this message finds you well!  We’d like to provide a quick update regarding our LinkedIn Embed module, and let you know about some recent improvements and bug fixes.

LinkedIn Embed is Temporarily Unsupported

Due to recent updates from LinkedIn, our LinkedIn Embed module is currently inaccessible.  Our developers are currently working on an updated version of the module, and we will provide an update as soon as it is available.  In the meantime, if you would like to link to your LinkedIn Profile within your ePortfolio, we recommend the following steps as a workaround:

  • Upload the logo to your ePortfolio
  • Through the module settings, use the Clickable Image option to link the URL of your LinkedIn profile.  For assistance, please see the following article: Clickable Image Option

General Updates and Bug Fixes

In recent months, we have implemented the following minor improvements:

  • Improved stability for viewing MS Office documents
  • The thumbnail displayed for uploaded videos is now taken from two seconds into the video, rather than the middle of the video
  • The warning notification displayed when deleting a template now specifies that you are deleting a template, rather than an ePortfolio, in order to avoid confusion
  • We improved our API to include the archived status of ePortfolios and updated our API documentation

We have also fixed bugs that were causing the following issues:

  • Users unable to successfully rename pages
  • Thumbnails not displaying for submitted ePs
  • Google Forms displaying incorrectly in mobile view
  • Apply Styles feature applying slide opacity incorrectly
  • Home page not appearing in the Apply Styles menu
  • Users unable to open ZIP files after using the Download ePortfolio feature
  • Pages not transferring properly from one ePortfolio to another when using the Organizer tool
  • Conversations with “Viewer” permission not appearing in Published view
  • Users unable to set Font Active color and Button Active color
  • Cursor not responding properly in Firefox
  • Take Picture module not working properly
  • Users unable to add subtitles to their videos

If you have questions or feedback, as always, we encourage you to reach out to our team at support@digication.com.

 Kind regards,

Your friends at Digication
