Configure Program assessment settings

Permissions required: Program Assessment Administrator or Manager

Program Assessment Settings allow you to control how submissions are reviewed and evaluated in your program.

They help you customize permissions, set assessment visibility, define reassessment rules and timelines, and add outcomes for evaluations.

Access Program Assessment Settings

  • Navigate to the program Home (1)  page. If you do not have any programs, you can create a new one. Please see Create, edit, or delete Programs.
  • Click Assessment Settings (2).

  • The Assessment Settings page opens. Settings are organized in three sections: Permissions, Availability, and Assessment.

Configure Reviewer Permissions

  • Set reviewer permissions in the first section of the assessment settings page:
  • Allow reviewers to add outcomes (1) - when enabled, reviewers may add existing system-wide outcomes to the assessment program, and you may also choose to Allow reviewers to create new outcomes (2)

    Note: If not enabled, reviewers will not be able to add or create outcomes for the assessment program and will not see the + button to create or copy new outcomes

  • Allow reviewers to view other assessments (3) - when enabled, reviewers can view other reviewers’ assessments.
  • Allow reviewers to see assignment information (4) - when enabled, reviewers will be able to access a panel with the original assignment details.
  • Anonymize submissions from reviewers (5) - when enabled, student identifying information will not be shown to reviewers and submissions will be identified only by number.

Configure Availability Settings

  • In the Availability section, set rules for deadlines, visibility, reassessment, and late assessment.
  • Set the Assessment due date (1). If selected, set the Due date and time (2). Choose No Assessment due date to leave it open-ended.
  • Set the Assessment Visibility (3). For this setting, you can also choose a date after which the program will become visible. Note: While setting up, keep assessment visibility off. 
  • Set whether Reassessment (4) is allowed for reviewers or not. For this setting, you can also set a date until which reassessment is allowed.
  • Set whether Late assessment (5) is allowed for reviewers or not. For this setting, you can also set a date until which late assessment is allowed.

  • The selected availability settings are applied after you save changes.

Add Outcomes

  • In the Assessment section, click Add Outcomes (1).

  • Click to select outcomes or Search or create new outcomes (1) using the text field in the Select outcomes window.
  • Click Deselect All (2) to remove all outcome selections.
  • Selected outcomes (3) are highlighted.

  • Click Done (5) to finish adding outcomes.

  • The selected outcomes appear in the Assessment section.

Save Changes

  • Click Save (1) to apply all changes to the Assessment Settings.

  • You return to the program home page, and the Assessment Settings are applied to the program.
